Victoria Knecht “Tori” McRoberts Copeland was one of the most dynamic girls in the Marshall High School Class of ’02 and was a study in perpetual motion. Ballet, jazz dancing, gymnastics, marching band, lifeguarding, tennis, basketball and soccer all were her activities and her passions – not to mention the hours spent with her pet cats and dogs.  She won the Coach’s Award in soccer in both her junior and senior years. The perpetual motion came to an end on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, when Tori joined her beloved grandparents in heaven.  She was 41.

Tori was born Oct. 19, 1983, to Tom and Becky McRoberts, then of Malta Bend and later of Marshall. After graduating Marshall High School, Tori graduated Louisianna State University in Baton Rouge in 2007 with a degree in Health Sciences/Nutrition. While there she joined Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.  Tori then earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Dietetics from Illinois State University-Bloomington Normal in 2009.  She worked as a hospital clinical dietician in Corpus Christi, TX, then worked as a clinical dietician in the cardiac intensive care unit (ICU) of Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO. From there, she went to Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO, as a clinical dietician in the cardiac ICU.

Tori is survived by her parents and by numerous cousins.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at First Christian Church in Marshall with Rev. Randal DeMasters and William W. Harlow officiating.  Inurnment will follow in Ridge Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Saline Animal League, First Christian Church or Mid-day Optimist in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.
