
Several area city governments are meeting Monday, September 8.
The Higginsville Board of Aldermen is hosting a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. to consider an airport infrastructure grant agreement with the Missouri Highway’s and Transportation Commission.
The Moberly City Council is holding a regular meeting at 6 p.m. The council will review a request to hold the 2025 Moberly Homecoming Parade on September 26, as well as an ordinance establishing the speed limit for Lantern Pointe.
The meeting of the Odessa Board of Aldermen also gets underway at 6 p.m. with the board planning to place local use and sales tax questions on the ballot for the April 2026 election.
Finally, the Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen will meet at 6 p.m. with plans to review the annual city audit and hold discussion regarding the City Dump.
