Missouri Lottery officials have confirmed that one of the winners of the nearly $1.8 billion jackpot in Saturday night’s Powerball drawing bought their ticket in Missouri.

The lottery has announced that the ticket bought in Missouri was one of two that matched all five white balls and the red Powerball, and will split the second-largest jackpot in the game’s history with someone in Texas. Those winning numbers are 11, 23, 44, 61, 62, and the Powerball 17. In accordance with Missouri Lottery policy, the location that sold the ticket will be announced before Tuesday evening.

Missouri Lottery Executive Director Lester Elder says this is the 32nd time a ticket bought in Missouri has won a Powerball jackpot. He encourages the winning ticket holder to take their time and receive proper legal and financial advice before officially claiming their prize at the Lottery’s main office in Jefferson City. Game winners have 180 days to claim their prize, meaning that winners from Saturday’s drawing have until March 5, 2026 to do so.

One of the first questions the winner will have to answer is if they want their share of the cash prize as an annuity or lump sum. If they take the cash all at once, before taxes their prize will come out to $410 million. If they elect to take the annuity, they’ll receive over $893 million spread out over 30 years.

The lottery also announced that three Missouri tickets matched four of the white balls and the Powerball to each win $50,000. Nationwide, another 9.9 million tickets won prizes last night, including 18 that matched all five white balls to win $1 million. The game had gone 41 draws dating back to May without anyone winning the top prize.
