The 136th annual Randolph County Old Settlers event is scheduled to begin Thursday in Huntsville.
The event will run from Thursday through Sunday, and feature different vendors, food trucks, and activities for people of all ages to enjoy. Sam Ingebritson says the event first began in 1888 as a way to bring people together.
The festivities begin Thursday morning with the Elementary Opening Parade in Downtown Huntsville. The complete schedule includes live music, kids games, wagon rides, and other special events like a 5K walk/run, a kids talent show, and a parade Saturday evening at 6 p.m. The celebration will wrap up Sunday morning with a community church service at 10:45 on the Town Square.
