
The Moberly City Council approved a request to hold the 2025 Homecoming Parade, which is scheduled to be held on Friday, September 26.
The city council approved this request during its September 8th meeting. Community Relations Manager Scott McGarvey notes the parade always marks an exciting time in the community.
The parade will being at 3 p.m.
In other news, the council approved an ordinance establishing the speed limit for Lantern Point at 15 miles per hour (MPH). McGarvey says the council was motivated to pass this ordinance after receiving requests from residents in this neighborhood.
The council also authorized the purchase of a crack seal machine for the Public Works Department. The purchase was approved in the amount of $85,187.40.
The council’s next meeting is set for Monday, September 22.
