The Odessa Board of Aldermen voted to enter into an agreement with Paypoint HR to conduct an employee rate study for city staff during its meeting Monday, September 8.

Mayor Bryan Barner says the board decided to conduct this study to see if the city’s pay scale is comparable to other neighboring cities. He notes this study is a part of Odessa’s long-term strategic planning.

In other news, the board introduced new Accounts Payable Clerk and City Collector Tracey Walsh. Barner says Walsh will be a good fit at City Hall.

The board’s next meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 22.
