UPDATE: The boil advisory for for customers east of Highway 213, north of Highway 20, and west of Highway 23 has been lifted. Residents in most of northeastern Lafayette County will be under a boil advisory, after a leak was detected in the Consolidated Public Water Supply District No.2 network Monday, Sept. 15.

According to district officials, crews spent Monday night attempting to locate a leak in the system north of Route 20, impacting customers between routes 213 and 23, including along Bonanza, Peacock, and Salem Cemetery roads. The district says once the leak is repaired, customers in this area, including those in Dover and just outside Waverly, will go under a boil advisory until 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025. Water intended for consumption will need to be brought to a rolling boil for three minutes, then allowed to cool before use.

Anyone in the district with questions can call their office at 660-584-2344. The map above shows the affected area in yellow.
