
A one-vehicle crash west of Lincoln on Monday, Sept. 15 has claimed the life of a Clinton man.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the 23-year-old man was driving east on Route C about seven miles west of Lincoln, when at 1:45 p.m., his pickup truck crossed the center line several times west of the intersection with Route E. The pickup overcorrected, ultimately going off the left side of the roadway, then struck a fence and overturned several times. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say he was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
The crash is the 57th traffic fatality recorded by, and 52nd fatal crash investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop A, this year.
