The City of Slater is issuing a boil order for all residents until further notice.

According to City Administrator Gene Griffith, the boil order is in effect due to a positive monthly water sample from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Griffith says the order applies to all Slater residents at this time.

Affected consumers should boil their drinking water for three to five minutes, which should kill any microbes present.
