The Marshall City Council adopted its budget for the next fiscal year, providing the final approval at Tuesday night’s meeting.
Finance director Aimee Klinge commended the council and department heads for their work for bringing together the budget.
Klinge says this year’s budget features $15.5 million of anticipated expenditures. She highlights some of the largest projects the city will tackle over the next year.
Klinge adds that over $500,000 will be allocated for next year’s street repairs. The current fiscal year ends Sept. 30, and Klinge says the city will look to take care of their bills and last expenses for the year before the council meets in a special session that morning at 11:45 a.m.
