
A two-vehicle collision on a Cooper County highway Wednesday, Sept. 17 claimed the lives of both drivers involved.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the two trucks collided around 3:45 p.m. on Route 87 outside the Hail Ridge Golf Course, about a half-mile north of Interstate 70. Troopers say that the northbound pickup driven by a 24-year-old Boonville man crossed the center line and struck the southbound truck driven by a 77-year-old Boonville man. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers noted that both men were not wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
