The Marshall Public Library will launch a new book club beginning Monday, Sept. 22, with their first selection focused on the American Revolution.

The new book club titled “Marshall Reads” will focus on American History this year, ahead of the 250th anniversary of America’s independence. Library Director Matt Rahner introduces the book the club will start reading, The Glorious Cause by Jeff Shaara.

Rahner says Charles Guthrey will lead the group and discussion.

Rahner says additional titles over the next year will keep the focus on significant periods of American History.

Rahner says ten copies of The Glorious Cause are available for participants of the “Marshall Reads” book club. The first book club meeting is set for Monday evening at 5:30 p.m. at the Marshall Public Library.
