The Marshall Tourism Commission has launched its new community events calendar, which aims to lets organizations around the area know of upcoming events, by way of adding those events to their calendar too.

The board launched the calendar earlier this month, as well as a portal for community groups to add their events. Tourism Coordinator Rebecca Adams lists the major goals of the new calendar is cross-promotion and better coordination.

Adams says the new system is geared to allow easier planning for the following year’s event, and drives traffic to local websites even after the event has taken place.

Adams encourages local groups to check out the calendar on the Marshall Tourism Commission website and sign up to add their upcoming events.
