Jackie Lee Ballew, 73, of Marshall, died Monday, September 22, 2025 at his home.

Graveside services will be Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Mount Carmel Cemetery north of Marshall, with Ralph Varner officiating. Pallbearers will be Jarid King, Craig Thompson, Cliff Brandenberg, Billy Johnson, Robbie Johnson, and David Johnson. Friends may call Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in care of the funeral home.

Born December 4, 1951 in Marshall, he was the son of the late Johnny and Margaret Surber Ballew. On December 21, 1971 in Marshall, he married Linda Clemens, and she survives of the home.

Also surviving is a daughter, Jacqueline Ballew of Marshall; a granddaughter, Jorgie Ballew Brandenberg; and two sisters, Phyllis Bakert of Marshall, and Sharon Anderson of Iron Mountain, Michigan. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Ballew.

Mr. Ballew worked as a supervisor in the Batch Plant at Coreslab in Marshall for twenty years, and later owned Jack’s Tow Company until his retirement. His family and his work were his highest priorities.
