A Lee’s Summit man sustained moderate injury after his motorcycle slid out from under him as he tried to make a turn off a Johnson County highway Monday, Sept. 22.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says one of the tires on a Harley Davidson driven by the 62-year-old man became flat as he was riding on eastbound U.S. Route 50 around 1:50 p.m. Monday. Troopers say the man attempted to turn his bike onto Route 131 in the Pittsville area, when the rear tire slid out from under him, resulting in him sliding onto the roadway. The man sought his own medical treatment. Troopers note that he was wearing the appropriate safety equipment at the time of the crash.
