Sharon K. Wasson, 78, of Sedalia, died Monday, September 22, 2025 at her home.

Graveside services will be Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. at Mt. Herman Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Robert Sisney officiating. Pallbearers will be John Brennan, Zachary Brennan, Don Kerns, Kevin Bullard, Seth Ream, and Sean de Beaubian. Memorials are suggested to the Mt. Herman Baptist Church or Boonslick Regional Library in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Sedalia.

Born February 4, 1947 in Sedalia, she was the daughter of the late Virgil B. and Mary Viola Hunt Ream. On March 4, 1979 in Sedalia, she married Tommie Dale Wasson, and he survives of the home.

Also surviving are three children, Mary Kerns (Don) of Sedalia, John Brennan (Karen) of Brentwood, Tennessee, and Deborah Bullard (Kevin) of Sedalia; twelve grandchildren, Alyssa, Anna, Aubrey, Zachary, Amy, Zane, Adelynn, Zayden, Alivia, Amelia, Kristina, and Abigail; and two great-grandchildren, Aria and Akillies. She was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce de Beaubian; and a nephew, Frederic Ronald de Beaubian.

Mrs. Wasson was a member of the Mt. Herman Baptist Church. She was a student at Tanglenook School, and graduated in the Class of 1965 from Smith Cotton High School. She attended Blue Mountain College, and Central Methodist University in Fayette. She worked as a secretary for the Chief of Police in Sedalia; and in the library of Central Methodist University in Fayette. She substitute taught at Hughesville Elementary School; did in-home services; and was a volunteer at Bothwell Regional Health Center. She loved to teach children, read, sew, give gifts, and watch DVDs.
