
A 71-year-old Warrensburg man was struck on U.S. Highway 50 Wednesday night in Johnson County.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the Warrensburg man ran into the path of a westbound vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Kingsville female, causing the vehicle to strike the pedestrian in the roadway on Highway 50 west of Northwest 550 Road.
Serious injuries were reported for the pedestrian, who was transported to Research Medical Center for treatment. No injuries were reported for the driver.
The accident was reported at 10:13 p.m. by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Johnson County Sheriff’s Department.
