George Dean Roby Jr., 50, of rural Sweet Springs, MO, died Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at his home.

The family will host a memorial graveside service at 3 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2025, at Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs.  Memorials are suggested to family choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.  An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born October 24, 1974, in Waverly, MO, he was the son of Rickie Ann Davis Dempsey, who survives of the home, and the late George Dean Roby Sr.  George had lived in the Sweet Springs area most of his life and had worked for JBQ , in Alma, as a meat processor.  He was of the Pentecostal faith.  George enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening, fishing, and watching the hummingbirds.

George is survived by his mother, Rickie; one brother, Robert Roby (Libby) of Sedalia; a niece, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family.

In addition to his father, George Roby Sr.; he was preceded in death by one brother, Matthew Jedadiah Roby.
