A Salisbury woman lost her life after a two-vehicle collision in the city Wednesday, Oct. 1.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the 85-year-old woman pulled into the path of a semi-truck as she drove on northbound Route 129 at the intersection with U.S. Route 24. The westbound Kenworth struck the woman’s sedan at around 11:30 a.m. The woman was pronounced dead just before noon by the Chariton County deputy coroner. Troopers say she had not been wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported for the Kenworth’s driver from Glasgow.
