
A Columbia driver suffered serious injuries after his vehicle went off Route 41 just north of Miami on Thursday, Oct. 2.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the 46-year-old man was driving south at around 3:15 p.m., when his minivan went off the left side of the roadway at the approach to the Miami Bridge. The van then struck the bridge. A passenger in the vehicle, a seven-year-old boy from Marshall, sustained moderate injuries. The two were flown to a Columbia hospital.
