
Two teenagers from Kansas were injured—one seriously—after their personal watercraft collided at the Lake of the Ozarks on Friday, Oct. 3.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred around 5:45 p.m. at the 58.6 mile mark of the main arm of the lake, near Ivy Bend in Morgan County. According to the patrol’s report, one watercraft steered by a 15-year-old girl side-swiped the other watercraft, steered by a 13-year-old girl. The collision caused both teenagers to fall from their vehicles. The two were taken to a Lake Ozark hospital. Troopers add that both teenagers were wearing the proper safety gear at the time of the collision.
