A road closure southwest of Smithton for a bridge replacement will now last another week.

The Pettis County Road and Bridge Department announced Monday, Oct. 6 that Muschaney Road between Lamms Lane and White School Road will remain closed until Oct. 15 as crews complete the replacement project. The road has been closed since Sept. 22. The department asks drivers to continue making detours around the closure, and to watch for work zone signs and barricades.
