Three teenagers were taken to a Warrensburg hospital after their vehicle was struck by oncoming traffic Saturday evening.

The crash occurred around 8:50 p.m. at the intersection of eastbound U.S. Route 50 and Route D outside Knob Noster, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Troopers report that a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old from Chesterfield was northbound on Route D and attempted to cross the highway. However, the vehicle was struck by an eastbound vehicle driven by a 26-year-old from Kansas City.

The Chesterfield driver and an 18-year-old from Knob Noster sustained moderate injuries, while an 18-year old from Lamar incurred serious injuries. The three were taken to a nearby hospital, while the driver of the other vehicle had no reported injuries.
