Voters in the Sweet Springs Special Road District will head to the polls Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025 to weigh in on a proposed renewal of their tax levy.

The district is asking voters to renew their levy of $0.3052 per $100 of assessed valuation. They will also have a seat on the district’s commission to fill, with Donald Vogelsmeier the only listed candidate. All precincts in the road district will cast their ballots at the Sweet Springs City Hall on S. Miller Street. The polls are open until 7 p.m.

If passed, the tax will renew for four years. Certification of the results can take place as soon as Friday.
