Attendees to Sunday’s annual memorial to Missouri’s fallen firefighters also had the chance to view the construction progress of a museum that will open next to the memorial site in Kingdom City.
Keith Smith, chairman of the Fire Fighters Memorial Foundation of Missouri, says several years of planning and fundraising have gone into the museum, which will educate the public about the profession’s history and preserve the stories of firefighters across the state.
Smith reminds the public that they are able to visit the Fire Fighters Memorial throughout the year.
The Fire Fighters Memorial of Missouri is located at the northwest corner of Interstate 70 and U.S. Route 54 in Kingdom City, off Dunn Road.
