The No. 14 Missouri Tigers had two costly turnovers in the fourth quarter, falling to the No. 8 Alabama Crimson Tide 27-24 at Faurot Field Saturday afternoon.

After scoring on the opening drive, the Tigers punted on its next three possessions, only gaining 22 total yards of offense. Missouri was able to get points up right before the half, with Robert Meyer connecting on a 35-yard field goal as time expired in the second quarter to make it 17-10.

Both teams traded punts on the next two possessions, but Alabama retook the lead with a 22-yard field goal before the end of the third quarter.
Mizzou got the football to start the fourth quarter, but Pribula threw his first interception of the game, turning the ball over at the Alabama 40 yard line. Alabama wasn’t able to turn the turnover into points, missing a 49-yard field goal after another defensive stand from Mizzou.
Missouri’s next drive was stopped on fourth down, giving Alabama the football with a short field as they took a two-score lead with a touchdown. The Tigers answered with a 75-yard scoring drive, finding the end zone after Pribula’s second touchdown pass of the game.
The Tiger defense forced a three and out, getting the offense the ball with 1:11 left in the game. However, Pribula threw his second interception of the quarter, turning it over at the Alabama 32 and sealing the victory for the Tide.
Pribula completed 16 of 28 passes for 167 yards with two touchdowns and two picks. He also rushed for 61 yards and a score. Ahmad Hardy, who rushed for over 100 yards in each of Missouri’s first five games of the season, was limited to just 52 yards on 12 carries.
Missouri falls to 5-1 on the season, with the loss snapping a 15-game home winning streak for the Tigers. Up next, the Tigers will make their first road trip of the season when they travel to Auburn on Saturday, October 18.
