Contractors working with the City of Moberly will begin milling and overlay work on Buchanan Street beginning on Monday.
Community Relations Manager Scott McGarvey notes the city is right in the middle of its annual milling and overlay project. On Monday, contractors will begin milling Buchanan Street from the Everlast entrance north past the Fowler road intersection toward the railroad crossing. During this work, sections of the roadway will be closed to through traffic. Residents should expect temporary access restrictions and short delays while crews are working.
McGarvey says the city appreciates the patience of residents who are affected by the roadway interruptions.
Paving work on Buchanan Street is expected to take place around November 1. Crews recently finished repaving Sparks Avenue, opening the roadway to traffic last Thursday.
