
Betty L. Sullivan, 91, of Slater, died Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.
Graveside services will be Monday, October 20, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Slater City Cemetery, with Larry Moore officiating. Pallbearers will be Brian Langlotz, Nathan Sullivan, Michael Sullivan, Clint Mitts, Corey Sullivan, and Todd Mitts. Visitation will be from 10:00 until 10:45 A.M. at Weiker Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the American Legion Post #78 Auxiliary, or Big Bend Retreat, in care of the funeral home.
Born June 14, 1934 in Warrensburg, she was the daughter of the late Sherman T. and Ora Heard Hielderbrand. On October 13, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri, she married Albert L. Sullivan, and he preceded her in death on September 25, 1993.
She is survived by a son, Lynn Sullivan of Slater; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis Sullivan and Tom Sullivan; and a sister, Edith Mitts.
Mrs. Sullivan was a longtime member of the Slater Church of God, until its closing. She later attended Salem Evangelical Church near Saline City. She was a 1951 graduate of Slater High School, and a member of the American Legion Post #78 Auxiliary. She had owned and operated Betty’s Beauty Shop for over forty years in rural Slater.
