Team girls tennis district tournaments are underway across Missouri on Monday, Oct. 13, the first head-to-head district tournaments of the school year.
The Marshall Owls are the second seed in the Class One, District Four tournament. The Owls will start team play Monday afternoon against Center, while third-seed Lafayette County face conference foes Lexington. The four/five matchup is between Knob Noster and Kansas City Lutheran. Top seed Odessa will await the winner of a play-in contest between Richmond and Holden.
Elsewhere in Class One, Carrollton have the eight-seed in the District Eight tournament hosted by Savannah. Should they defeat St Joseph Lafayette, the Trojans will face the top-seed Savannah. Chillicothe is the second seed in this district and will host St Joseph Benton on Monday afternoon. In District Four, Boonville have the five seed and will visit Palmyra on Tuesday afternoon, while Moberly face second-seed Wentzville Holt.
In Class Two, Warrensburg have the third seed in the District Five tournament. The Tigers will host Camdenton on Monday afternoon. Smith-Cotton will hit the road for their Class Three, District Four opener Monday, visiting the Kewpies of Columbia Hickman. The winner of this four/five contest will visit Rock Bridge on Tuesday afternoon.
