A Warsaw man suffered serious injury after his motorcycle struck a deer early Sunday, Oct. 12.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Route MM east of Johnson Drive, about four miles east of Warsaw. Troopers say the 41-year-old man was in the northbound lane when the collision with the deer occurred. He was flown to a Kansas City area hospital. It’s not known of he was wearing the proper safety gear at the time of the crash.
