The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced that a bridge closure in Carroll County has been delayed by one day.

The Carroll County Route JJ bridge over West Fork Wakenda Creek, northwest of Norborne, was scheduled to close on Monday, October 20, but has been delayed by one day to Tuesday, October 21. The bridge will be closed through mid-December 2025. Motorists will need to seek an alternate route around the closure.
MoDOT has contracted E&C Bridge, LLC to complete a bridge deck replacement project on this bridge, as well as three others in Carroll, Chariton and Livingston counties. Also included in this project is the Livingston County Route D bridge over the Shoal Creek Drainage Ditch, south of Ludlow; Carroll County Route B over Sambo Creek, south of Wakenda; and the Chariton County Route KK over the Little Chariton River, north of Glasgow.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.

More information about this project can be found here.
