Residents of two neighborhoods in and around Sedalia will have to navigate detours next week as crews complete road improvement projects.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 20, the City of Sedalia will perform macropaving work throughout the Southwest Village neighborhood. All roads through the neighborhood, with the exception of Southwest 32nd, Buckingham, Cunningham, and Green Ridge roads, will experience closures as crews complete the projects. Closures are set to occur between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Monday until Thursday. Residents are encouraged to avoid on-street parking and use alternate routes when possible.
East of Sedalia, the Pettis County Road and Bridge Department is planning a series of culvert repairs and replacements beginning Monday around the Maplewood Subdivision, around the intersection of Route TT and East 32nd St. Between Monday and Thursday, several roads will be subject to intermittent closures, including Maplewood Lane, Meadow Wood Drive, Monsees Drive, and Westlake Drive. The department reminds motorists to make arrangements for these dates and to not drive around any posted signs or barricades indicating a road closure.
