Two Columbia residents were injured after a collision on a Morgan County highway Thursday, Oct. 16.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 31-year-old man from Columbia was driving south on Route D, about four miles south of Syracuse, when at around 12:35 p.m., a pickup driven by a 26-year-old man from Versailles turned from the northbound lane. Troopers say the pickup failed to yield to the other vehicle, resulting in the collision. The Columbia driver had minor injuries and sought his own treatment, while his 21-year-old passenger sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a Columbia hospital. No injuries were reported for the pickup’s driver.
