A pair of crashes late Thursday, Oct. 16 along Route 13 south of Warrensburg resulted in injuries to a pair of women.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says that at around 5:20 p.m., traffic at the intersection of Route 13 at SE 650 Road had stopped in the southbound lane after a pickup went off the roadway, then struck a culvert and utility pole. Troopers say that a motorcycle driven by a 40-year-old man from Centerview skidded as it tried to stop, overturning and striking the rear of an SUV. A passenger on his motorcycle, a 42-year-old woman from Warrensburg, incurred moderate injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. The 40-year-old driver of the SUV reported minor injuries and sought her own treatment. No injuries were reported for the motorcycle or pickup drivers.
