A Fayette man was injured after being struck on Missouri 240 in Howard County on Tuesday.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident was reported when a vehicle traveling along westbound Missouri 240, southeast of Route P, began to travel onto the edge of the roadway and struck a 54-year-old Fayette man at 6:40 a.m.

The pedestrian had moderate injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. No injuries were reported for the driver.
