The Detroit Red Wings netted six unanswered goals on the St Louis Blues, including the final two by Simon Edvinsson, as the Blues dropped their third straight contest 6-4 on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.

Jordan Kyrou and Pavel Buchnevich both scored on power plays for St Louis, while Jack Neighbours had the other two goals, as the Blues held a seemingly hefty 4-0 lead three minutes into the second period. The Red Wings got on the board nearly five minutes later with a power play goal by Jonatan Berggren, then claimed two goals in 30 seconds late in the period to make the Blues lead just one heading into the final period.

Alex DeBrincat netted the tying goal halfway through the third, picking off Neighbors and going on a breakaway before snapping a shot just past the blue line that Jordan Binnington was unable to stop. Edvinsson’s game winner game 47 seconds later, when his shot from the right deflected off Brayden Schenn and past Binnington.

The Blues recorded 29 shots on goal, one more than the Red Wings, but ultimately were unable to hold off the Red Wings comeback. As a result, St Louis are now seventh in the Central Division. They visit Pittsburgh on Monday for a matchup against the Penguins.
