
The Saline County Commission has called a special session for Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 9 a.m.
The Commission will take a second look at a proposed lease purchase agreement for equipment needed for the Marshall Junction’s wastewater treatment system. Joey McLiney of McLiney and Associates is expected to attend and present updated details about the agreement, which commissioners had initially approved last Wednesday.
Also on Tuesday, Slater Schools is moving their Board of Education meeting up to noon. The agenda for their meeting is light, with the board expected to complete their cover-to-cover review of the district’s policies, and provide first reading to a slate of updated policies. The board will also formally review the district’s bus routes for the school year, along with budget revisions.
Two city governments are also scheduled to meet Tuesday. The Lexington City Council will consider a resolution setting new fees for water provided to the Consolidated Public Water Supply District Number Two, and a resolution concerning ambulance services provided in the city over the past year. Lexington’s city council begins their meeting at 7 p.m. The Fayette Board of Aldermen will have their regular meeting Tuesday at 6 p.m.
