
A two-vehicle collision south of Boonville sent one man to the hospital Sunday, Oct. 26 with serious injuries.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 67-year-old man from Boonville was driving his minivan north on Route B at the intersection with Doyle Road, when at 4:15 p.m., he was struck head-on by a southbound pickup that had changed lanes to pass a vehicle stopped in the road. The van’s driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to a Columbia hospital. The pickup’s driver, a 29-year-old man from Rocheport, incurred minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash, according to troopers.
