
Steven Leroy Dial, 65, of rural Nelson, MO, died Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at his home.

Steven Leroy Dial was born on April 27, 1960. He was the son of Norman Leroy Dial and Barbara Mae Conaway Dial. There was so much snow that they were afraid they weren’t going to make it to the hospital.
He married Susan Sims on September 19, 1986, during major flooding of that year. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Linda Sue and Mark Lester (Josh).
The Lord blessed Steve with the gift of carpentry skills. He could build or repair anything. He used these talents to make a good living as well as going on mission trips with the Love in Action team for 12 years. He was a member and deacon at Memorial Baptist Church of rural Nelson.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, and brother.
Steve is survived by his wife, children, son-in-law, mother, sisters: Bonnie (Donnie Francis), Sonia Pragman, Cynthia (Cale Magruder); uncle, aunt, nieces, nephews, cousins, lots of friends and co-workers.
He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, uncles and aunts.
He will be missed.
