A Sedalia man is facing a pair of charges stemming from a reported home invasion late Monday, Oct. 27.

23-year-old Mario D Wilson was arrested early Tuesday morning after Sedalia Police responded to a shots-fired report at a home on W. 20th Street.  According to the department’s probable cause statement, Wilson had been walking around the residence wearing a “Scream” mask, which caused a resident in the home to feel as though she was being stalked. A friend arrived to check on her, and encountered Wilson, telling him to leave. Instead, Wilson allegedly banged on the back door, then climbed into a window on the back of the house. Two people in the residence were able to leave the house when police arrived. A standoff followed for about 30 minutes before Wilson surrendered to authorities.

Wilson was arraigned Wednesday on one count each of first-degree burglary and second-degree harassment. His bond is set at $15,000, with a counsel status hearing set for Tuesday, Nov. 4.
