The St Louis Blues allowed another hat trick at home, but weren’t taken down until the shootout that the Vancouver Canucks won 4-3 on Thursday, Oct. 30 at Enterprise Center.

Kiefer Sherwood had a goal in each period for the visitors, including a power play goal halfway through the first period. Once again the Blues had scored first, this time a wrist shot off the stick of Dylan Holloway three minutes into the contest. Jimmy Snuggerud recorded a power-play goal just one minute into the second period to give the Blues the lead back. Also scoring on a power play was Pius Suter, who snapped the Blues level in the third to ultimately force the overtime period and shootout. Jake DeBrusk was the only player to score in the shootout for either side.

The Blues recorded 39 shots on goal, over twice as many as Vancouver, but ended up falling to their sixth straight defeat. They did pick up a point and now sit on eight points, two ahead of Calgary for worst in the NHL. The Blues travel to Columbus for a tilt with the Blue Jackets on Saturday at 6 p.m.
