The 63rd season of the Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra will begin Sunday, Nov. 2 with a featured pianist.

Albert Kim will headline Sunday’s concert, which begins at 2:30 p.m. in the Harold L Lickey Auditorium at Bueker Middle School. Dr Kim is director of the Student Chamber Ensemble at the University of Central Missouri and an associate professor of piano. He made his solo recital debuts in the U.S. and Europe as a Carnegie Hall and European Concert Hall Organization Rising Star. Kim is an active arranger who directed the world premiere of his chamber instrumental version of Richard Strauss’s Salome in 2014.

Sunday afternoon’s selections includes works by Ludwig von Beethoven, Marvin Hamlisck, Claude T Smith, and Ralph Vaughn Williams. Kevin Lines will conduct the concert, which is free and open to the public.
