A Brookfield man suffered serious injury after his SUV overturned on a Linn County roadway Friday, Oct. 31.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the crash occurred just before 7 p.m. south of the city on Inman Road near Ida Drive. According to the patrol, a 37-year-old man was driving his SUV north when the vehicle overcorrected as it went off the right side of the road. The SUV overturned, ejecting the driver. He was flown to a Columbia hospital. Troopers say he had not been wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
