The Missouri Department of Transportation is closing a highway north of Sweet Springs for additional ditch work this week.

MoDOT crews will close Route 127 at the Salt Pond Creek, between Route ZZ and 150th Road, on Monday, Nov. 3 through Friday, Nov. 7 to complete the work. Crews will be on site each day from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Also in Saline County, Route 240 from Marshall east to the split with Route 41 south will have flag crews in place from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday for shoulder repairs. Flagging operations will pick up Tuesday on Route VV from the intersection with Interstate 70 in Emma east to 126th Road, also from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Culvert replacements are scheduled Wednesday and Thursday in Johnson County on Route M between Route OO and Northwest 825th Road. The roadway north of Columbus will close both days from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pavement repairs are planned Tuesday in Knob Noster along Route D and Business Route 50, also from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Brush cutting is planned along Broadway Boulevard in Sedalia this week from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Intermittent lane closures are planned between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. between Route 65 and South Marshall Avenue. Also in Pettis County, Route H at U.S. Route 65 is now closed as crews begin tying in the new alignment for the roadway, as part of the project to build a grade-separated interchange for Routes H and HH north of the current at-grade intersection.

Two roadways are closed in Macon County this week. Route 3 through Callao is closed Monday from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. between Second and Eighth streets. The city will sign a local detour. Route C in Bevier will close Wednesday and Thursday between Elvira Street and Roundhouse Road to allow railroad maintenance to take place.

Two culvert replacement projects are scheduled this week in Cooper County. One lane will remain open along Route Y outside Clarks Fork, with flag crews present. However, Route U between Ritchie Road and Route J west of Prairie Home will close daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for culvert replacements. Moniteau County’s Route F is also down to one lane south of California for culvert replacements this week, while Route 135 in Morgan County at Little Proctor Road west of Gravois Mills is down to one lane this week for a replacement project there.

Shoulder work is planned in Moniteau County along Route O north from California this week, with traffic reduced to one lane. A similar project is planned in Howard County along Route 240 from Route W to County Road 419 outside of Fayette, with a flag crew also present during the work. General roadside work will take place this week along Route JJ south of Armstrong.

The project to resurface U.S. Route 65 through Carroll County now turns its attention to Carrollton and points south. Motorists are asked to expect delays between Route CC and County Road 368, as crews will stripe the roadway.
