A bridge south of Sedalia will close next week to allow for its inspection.

The Pettis County Road and Bridge Department announces that the historic Grand Avenue bridge over Flat Creek will close beginning Nov. 10, resulting in a closure of the roadway from Kathy Drive to Forest Park Road. Drivers will need to make alternate arrangements for these dates. The inspection is expected to conclude by Friday, Nov. 14.

The county reminds travelers to watch for work signs and barricades, and to not drive around the barricades. Anyone with questions about the project can contact the Pettis County Road and Bridge Department for more information.
