The Marshall Police Department, Marshall Fire Department, and Saline County Ambulance were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Salt Pond and Yerby at 2:46 p.m. Monday.

Police learned at the scene that an SUV was traveling south on Salt Pond, approaching the intersection of Yerby and Salt Pond, when a flatbed truck traveling east on Yerby entered the intersection, failing to yield to the SUV, and hit the front of the SUV.

Multiple injuries were observed, with two people being transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital.

The driver of the SUV was arrested for driving while revoked, booked, and released pending a warrant application. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
