Two improvement projects are set to take place during the school year at the Orearville R-IV School.

Superintendent Whitney Thompson tells KMMO News that the district’s board of education reviewed bids for the two projects at their most recent meeting. A project to renovate the district’s bathrooms was awarded to Tholen Wolfe Contractors of Lee’s Summit for $77,853. The other bid that had been submitted before the Oct. 30 deadline was higher by about a thousand dollars. Thompson says these improvements should be completed by Jan. 9.

The project to replace the HVAC system in the school gymnasium went to Hulett Heating and Air of Columbia for $59,868. Thompson says the new system should be installed before the end of the school year.
