The Moberly City Council reviewed bids and entered contracts for work on the 7-Bridges Road CSO basin during its meeting on Monday, November 3.
This project involves both sludge removal as well as basin wall upgrades at this site. Community Relations Manager Scott McGarvey provides more information about the project.
The basin improvements involve raising the basin berms for flood control, placing riprap around the berm from the toe to the top of slope, and the removal and replacement of the security fence.
The council reviewed four bids for the sludge removal portion, and then three bids for the basin improvements. The council approved contracts with Metro-Ag Waste Injection Systems in the amount of $304,500 for the sludge removal work, and Emery Sapp and Sons at a total cost of $1,396,198 for the work on the basin wall.
In other news, the council approved a request from the Randolph Area YMCA for the 2025 Turkey Trot on November 27. The council also appointed Dustyn Tallman to the Board of Adjustment to fill the unexpired term of Rick Drown.
