A two-vehicle collision south of Camdenton on Friday, Nov. 7 claimed the life of a young woman from Versailles.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the 19-year-old was riding her motorcycle north on Route 5 about four miles south of Camdenton, when at around 4:55 p.m. Friday evening, an SUV driven by an 82-year-old woman from Camdenton turned from Dry Hollow Road into her path. The motorcycle struck the SUV. The Versailles woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the Camdenton driver was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
