The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works reviewed bids for a new skid steer loader for the Recycle Center during its meeting on Wednesday, November 12.

MMU received a grant from Missouri Solid Waste District Region F to replace the skid steer loader. The board received three bids, all of which came in lower than the amount for the grant. After some discussion, the board moved to accept the bid from Foley Equipment for a new Cat 236D3 Skid Steer Loader in the amount of $56,600. The board also voted to use the remaining $8,376.90 of the grant funds for the replacement of cages and dumpsters in the Recycle Center.

In other news, the Board of Public Works accepted a bid from Marshall Service Company for a Kubota RTV with a snow blade for a total cost of $29,508.56. The board also approved recommendations insurance renewals. The board approved the medical insurance renewal from Blue KC, and the ancillary insurance renewal from MetLife. Both renewals are effective January 1, 2026.
